A very enjoyable activity with a brief stop allowing for a quick tour of the town of Amarante. The visit to the port producer was well organized, followed by a pleasant little trip on the Douro. This tour was a really great compilation of all of the Douro Valley highlights. The itinerary is really well put together. You are able to do a lot in a few hours. Our guide Rita was lovely. Our driver Rui was amazing driving us through all of the twists and turns of the valley. The highlight of the tour was definitely the dinner at the restaurant which had a panoramic view of the valley. After lunch we were able to take some time to take in the view as well. The wine tasting portion was more of a wine "drinking." If a typical wine tasting is what you are looking for - this is not that. But the wine was delicious and it was still a good experience.

I was one of two people out of roughly 40 in our group whom were on the boat by themselves. Yet, not only did the crew and staff go out of there way to make me feel extra accommodated (trust me I was spoiled!) but I also spent the trip with quality company with the other gentleman who was by himself.
